Job Specifications

Our success is built upon the trust and dedication of our team members. We view ourselves not only as a warehouse and distributor but as an integral part of our clients' businesses. We are confident in our ability to provide the best service available and are always looking for passionate individuals to join us in our mission. Whether you're interested in operations, customer service, or content creation, Airbox Fulfilment offers a dynamic and supportive environment for personal and professional growth.

At Airbox Fulfilment, we're scaling fast - and we know that strong people practices are what hold everything together. We're looking for an Employee Relations (HR) Business Partner who's ready to take the lead on operational HR and casework, with a practical, people-first approach.

You'll act as the go-to expert on employment matters, guiding managers, supporting casework, and ensuring our policies and documentation are robust, consistent, and legally sound. If you love working in the details, influencing day-to-day decisions, and coaching managers with clarity and confidence - this role is for you.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading on low to mid-risk ER casework (absence, disciplinary, grievance, conduct, etc.)
Coaching line managers through formal and informal people processes
Interpreting and applying policies in line with UK employment law
Drafting documentation and maintaining accurate HR records
Supporting audits, reporting, payroll liaison and compliance activities
Collaborating with our Training and HR team to embed strong foundations across the employee lifecycle
Helping spot risks before they arise - and fixing things before they go wrong

This role is brand new to Airbox, so will be offered on an initial 6 month fixed term contract, with the possibility of converting to a permanent role or being extended.

Essential

You'll need to bring:

Proven experience in an HR or ER advisory role (ideally logistics, fulfilment or multi-site ops)
Solid knowledge of UK employment law and best practice
Clear, confident communication skills - written and verbal
Impeccable attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Experience handling sensitive information with discretion and care

Desirable

CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience)
Experience using HR systems like Rippling
Exposure to hourly-paid, shift-based or warehouse environments
A background in a high-growth or scaling business

How We'll Measure Success

ER cases resolved fairly and swiftly
Confidence from managers in your support and coaching
Well-kept documentation and compliance with law and policy
Tangible improvements to process, templates and risk mitigation

Where This Could Lead

HR Manager or Training Manager
Lateral moves into L&D, Talent, or International HR projects

We're scaling fast - we're looking for ambitious people to join us who want to grow!

What It's Like To Work Here

You'll be part of a down-to-earth and driven People Team that believes in doing the right thing - for our people, our partners, and each other. We're growing fast, and this is a brilliant opportunity to grow with us. We value curiosity, practicality, and consistency. You'll be someone who calmly supports others and brings clarity to complex or sensitive issues. We may be a 3rd party logistics provider, but our people come first.

Other Things To Know

Role includes regular visits to our UK warehouses (Leighton Buzzard, Milton Keynes, Hounslow, possibly Netherlands and further as we grow)
May require occasional out-of-hours support during peak periods
Equipment (laptop, mobile) provided
We're looking for someone who can start fairly quickly!

What you'll get

Competitive salary, aligned with your experience and benchmarked against industry standards
23 days annual leave (based on full-time hours), plus bank holidays
Access to employee benefits, including wellbeing support, discounts, and development tools
Company equipment - laptop, phone, and all the tools you need to succeed
Hybrid working - with regular on-site time to stay connected with teams
Opportunities to grow - we're scaling, and we love to promote from within
And much more - from a supportive People Team to a workplace that values fairness, pace and clarity
