**Job Title:** Founding Software Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Develop and own end‑to‑end AI‑enabled products, spanning backend services, frontend interfaces, and infrastructure. Collaborate closely with machine‑learning, design, and product teams to transform research breakthroughs into production‑ready features that empower creative users.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver production‑grade systems in a fast‑paced, startup environment.
- Operate autonomously across the full product lifecycle, from prototype to deployment and iteration.
- Maintain high code quality, scalability, and reliability while coordinating with cross‑functional founders and engineers.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs, databases, and data pipelines; write Linux shell scripts as needed.
- Develop a React JS/TypeScript front‑end according to design specifications.
- Provide tooling, services, and infrastructure support for ML engineers.
- Lead feature implementation from architecture through continuous integration, testing, and production launch.
- Drive product feature cycles: prototyping, execution, shipping, and post‑release improvements.
- Collaborate daily with founders, ML, design, and product teams to align technical solutions with user experience goals.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven track record shipping production systems (startup or large‑tech).
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, networking, concurrency, OS/Unix, and database design.
- Proficiency with backend technologies (API development, database management, Linux scripting).
- Front‑end expertise in React JS and TypeScript.
- Experience building and supporting ML‑related tooling/infrastructure.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- No specific certifications required; demonstrated technical competence and production experience are essential.
