**Job title** Business Development Manager – Foodservice **Role Summary** Drive new business growth for independent foodservice operators (cafés, pubs, restaurants, caterers) by prospecting, closing deals, and building long‑term partnerships. Operates autonomously within a regional team, delivering tailored menu, pricing, and supply solutions that maximise customer profitability and operational efficiency. **Expectations** - Achieve agreed revenue and margin targets through a structured sales pipeline. - Demonstrate a proven track record of field‑based sales and new account development in a competitive foodservice market. - Exhibit strong commercial and analytical acumen; translate market insights into actionable plans. - Communicate, negotiate, and present confidently to a diverse range of stakeholders. - Work independently yet collaborate effectively with internal teams to deliver best‑in‑class service. - Show resilience, self‑motivation, and a results‑driven attitude. - Maintain a genuine interest in food and hospitality; product and menu knowledge an advantage. **Key Responsibilities** - Proactively identify, prospect, and convert new independent business opportunities across the foodservice and hospitality market. - Build and sustain long‑term relationships with independent operators. - Design and deliver customized menu, pricing, and supply solutions to enhance customer profitability and efficiency. - Manage a structured sales pipeline, ensuring consistent progress against revenue and margin targets. - Lead onboarding of new customers, ensuring smooth setup and an exceptional early experience. - Monitor market activity, competitor performance, and emerging trends to identify growth opportunities. - Collaborate closely with internal teams to guarantee customers receive best‑in‑class service and product support. **Required Skills** - Field‑based sales experience within foodservice, catering, or hospitality supply. - Successful history of winning and developing new business in a competitive environment. - Commercial and analytical thinking; ability to translate insights into actionable plans. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. - Resilience, self‑motivation, and a results‑driven mindset. - Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. - Interest in food and hospitality; product or menu knowledge a plus (training provided). **Required Education & Certifications** - No specific educational qualifications mandated; a relevant degree (e.g., Business, Marketing, Hospitality) or equivalent experience preferred. - No mandatory certifications required.
