Job Description
Job title: Cloud DevOps Engineer Role Summary: Own and optimize multi‑cloud infrastructure (Azure & GCP). Ensure secure, scalable, cost‑efficient operations across compute, storage, networking, and observability. Lead automation, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response. Drive cloud cost management, DR, and compliance. Expactations: Deliver high‑availability services; maintain SLA compliance; produce measurable cost savings; evolve DevOps practices; support cross‑functional collaboration on security and cloud architecture. Key Responsibilities: - Provision & manage VMs, containers (Kubernetes, AKS, GKE), serverless workloads, and storage. - Configure VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancers, DNS. - Lead security patching, vulnerability remediation, SSL/TLS and encryption lifecycle. - Design & maintain Azure DevOps pipelines; implement IaC (Terraform). - Operate observability stack (Azure Monitor, Google Operations); conduct load testing. - Analyze cloud spend; implement autoscaling, rightsizing, reserved instances. - Manage Akamai CDN traffic, implement DR plans, backup & retention policies. - Respond to incidents, coordinate mitigation, post‑mortem analysis. - Collaborate with Cloud Engineering and IT Security teams; represent the team in forums. Required Skills: - Deep Azure & GCP expertise (compute, networking, IAM, automation). - Firewall, network security, perimeter defense knowledge. - CI/CD pipeline design, IaC, deployment automation. - Kubernetes, AKS, GKE orchestration experience. - Observability, monitoring, logging, performance testing. - Cloud cost optimization & budgeting. - DR planning, backup strategy, retention policies. - Akamai CDN or equivalent CDN platform. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor's or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Relevant cloud certifications (Azure DP-200/201, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, etc.) are a plus.
