Job Description
Job Title: Senior Software Development Engineer Role Summary: Design, develop, and optimize a software tool that supports configuration and implementation of network‑on‑chip (NoC) systems, collaborating with application engineers, hardware designers, and field teams. Expectations: Deliver a reliable, user‑friendly product that improves no‑core and network‑on‑chip design workflows while meeting customer and hardware constraints. Key Responsibilities: - Co‑design and develop NoC configuration tool in Python. - Work with application engineers to resolve end‑user problems. - Integrate hardware constraints, security controls, and user input from hardware blocks. - Identify and eliminate tool performance bottlenecks. - Automate repetitive or error‑prone tasks to boost usability. - Maintain code in Git, track work in Jira, and follow industry‑standard development pipelines. Required Skills: - 3–8 years of software development experience. - Expert knowledge of object‑oriented programming (Python preferred). - Unix/Linux development experience. - Strong understanding of data structures and graph‑based algorithms (useful for NoC modeling). - Familiarity with hardware, IT architecture, and network design concepts. - Proficiency in developing local‑machine software products for external customers. - Experience with version control, issue tracking, and collaborative dev workflows (e.g., Git, Jira). - Fluency in English; French communication skills required. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. - No specific certifications required, but knowledge of hardware design process or electronics field is a plus.
