Job Description
Job Title: Dispatcher Role Summary Coordinate daily driver routes, track deliveries, and maintain accurate assignment records in the TMS/ERP. Serve as the primary operational contact for drivers and internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and timely resolution of issues. Expactations - Deliver reliable, on‑time transportation service. - Maintain high accuracy in routing and documentation. - Contribute to continuous improvement of operational metrics. - Demonstrate adaptability and proactive problem‑solving under pressure. Key Responsibilities - Plan and monitor driver schedules, considering volume, distance, timing, and regulatory constraints. - Track progress of deliveries to final destinations and update status in the IT system. - Verify and code transportation documents received from drivers. - Act as the first point of contact for driver inquiries and operational questions. - Communicate clear schedules and instructions to drivers. - Coordinate with warehouse, dock, transportation, and customer service teams. - Engage with clients regarding queries or incidents. - Track performance indicators (service, profitability, etc.) and identify improvement opportunities. - Report anomalies and suggest corrective actions. Required Skills - Strong organizational and prioritization abilities. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in IT tools (TMS/ERP, MS Office). - Multilingual: fluent French, good English and Dutch foundations. - Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities. - Team‑player mindset with a proactive attitude toward learning. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field. - Prior internship or student job in logistics/transportation is an advantage but not mandatory.
