Job Description
**Job title** Senior Brand Manager – McVitie’s Masterbrand Communications **Role summary** Lead the development, delivery and performance measurement of 360° Masterbrand communications to drive sales and profit targets. Manage cross‑functional teams, external agencies, and a single direct report to ensure brand integrity, market relevance and commercial success. **Expectations** - Deliver integrated communication plans that meet UK sales and profitability goals. - Use consumer insight and data to shape brand strategy and adjust tactics. - Manage budget adherence and evaluate campaign ROI. - Influence stakeholders up to Director and UK Executive levels without formal authority. - Develop professional growth of an Assistant Brand Manager. **Key responsibilities** - Partner with Marketing, Media, and agencies to create Masterbrand communication strategy and annual plans. - Coordinate OOH, digital, social media, in‑store activation, and new‑product launch initiatives. - Work with Customer Market Insight (CMI) to track market share, brand equity and other performance metrics; take corrective action. - Provide regular updates to Marketing Director and UK Leadership Team. - Ensure activities align with retailer priorities and commercial planning. - Manage multiple workstreams, identify delivery risks, and implement mitigation plans. - Coach and evaluate the Assistant Brand Manager, prioritise workload, and foster capability growth. **Required skills** - Proven record of owning and executing 360° communications campaigns (FMCG preferred). - Strong commercial acumen with experience translating brand performance into commercial outcomes. - Expertise in managing external agencies and cross‑functional teams. - Excellent project management, organisational and risk‑management skills. - Ability to lead and influence at all organisational levels. - Self‑starter capable of juggling multiple projects and delivering results. - Proficient use of data and insights to drive decisions. **Required education & certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. - No specific certifications required.
