Job Description
Job Title: Junior VR Software Engineer Role Summary: Support the design, development, and maintenance of VR/AR applications within a Unity-based learning platform. Focus on clean code, performance, testing, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver immersive educational experiences. Expectations: - 1–2 years of professional software development experience (internships or projects inclusive). - Proficiency in C# and familiarity with Unity development pipelines. - Ability to learn best practices and work independently while seeking guidance from senior engineers. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain VR/AR interaction systems, internal tools, and Unity scenes. - Write clean, reusable code that follows team standards and design patterns. - Debug, refactor, and perform basic performance tuning of existing code. - Create and maintain unit tests; assist with integration testing. - Verify content and features across supported VR/AR devices and platforms. - Participate in pair programming, code reviews, stand‑ups, sprint planning, and cross‑functional discussions. - Monitor deployments, troubleshoot issues, and document lessons learned. - Contribute to internal documentation, coding standards, and small tooling as experience grows. Required Skills: - Programming in C#; strong object‑oriented design sense. - Unity 3D development experience (coursework, personal projects, or professional work). - Version control proficiency (Git, GitHub/GitLab). - Knowledge of Unity pipelines (URP/HDRP), Timeline, UI systems (uGUI/UI Toolkit), Addressables, and basic knowledge of Jobs/Burst. - Ability to integrate art, audio, animation, VFX assets into Unity scenes with minimal assistance. - Understanding of testing strategies, performance monitoring, and debugging tools. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills across product, design, and content teams. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
