Job Description
**Credit Risk Analyst** **Role Summary** Evaluate credit risk for a diverse portfolio of counterparties, including cooperatives, municipalities, financial institutions, and private equity firms. Apply quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess creditworthiness, manage risk exposure, and recommend risk mitigation strategies. Develop and maintain credit underwriting processes and systems to support decision-making and regulatory compliance. **Expectations** Minimum 5 years of credit risk analysis experience. Strong analytical skills to handle fast-paced, multitasking environments. Ability to deliver high-quality, detail-oriented outcomes and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities** - Conduct fundamental credit risk assessments for new and existing market participants using proprietary scoring models. - Recommend credit limits aligned with governing documents and market activity. - Monitor and analyze portfolio exposure, annual reviews, limit management, and de-risking solutions. - Collaborate with insurance and banking partners to ensure credit documents meet client requirements. - Develop and manage daily, weekly, and month-end credit risk reporting. - Support senior management with risk analysis presentations and risk impact assessments. - Lead improvements in credit risk system reporting and functionality. - Perform root cause analysis to resolve credit risk gaps and process inefficiencies. - Act as a liaison to resolve credit-related issues and execute process enhancements. **Required Skills** - Quantitative and qualitative risk analysis. - Credit scoring model application. - Portfolio risk management and exposure analysis. - Cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. - Systems reporting and process improvement. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making under pressure. **Required Education & Certifications** Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting. Equivalent work experience may be considered. No additional certifications required.
