Job Description
**Job Title:** Strategic Marketing Lead **Role Summary:** Deliver a 12‑month fixed‑term strategic marketing and communications program that embeds Age UK Network’s offerings into the NHS commissioning landscape, enhancing visibility, stakeholder engagement, and partnership opportunities for older people’s health and care services. **Expectations:** - Execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with NHS 10 Year Plan objectives. - Develop measurable outcomes, increasing Age UK’s presence among NHS commissioners and partners. - Manage cross‑divisional projects, collaborating with senior stakeholders to deliver on time and within scope. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and implement strategic marketing plans for health and social care services. - Conduct stakeholder analysis and capture commissioning priorities to inform targeted communications. - Build and sustain relationships with national and local health and care stakeholders, including NHS commissioners, agencies, charities, and think‑tanks. - Lead complex negotiations and conversations to secure partnership and commissioning opportunities. - Provide capacity‑building support to small‑to‑medium charities within the Network to amplify their profile. - Analyze large volumes of complex, uncertain information; generate innovative, evidence‑based solutions and recommendations. - Coordinate cross‑divisional input, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and NHS frameworks. **Required Skills:** - Proven experience designing and delivering strategic marketing plans for health/social care (public, private or third sector). - Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and influencing skills at all organisational levels. - Ability to build and nurture relationships with NHS commissioners and broader health policy stakeholders. - Project management competence; manage multiple priorities and deliverables simultaneously. - Advanced analytical and problem‑solving capabilities; evidence‑driven decision making. - Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex information into clear, persuasive messaging. - Deep understanding of NHS commissioning frameworks, statutory/voluntary/private sector dynamics in older people’s services. - Knowledge of voluntary sector cost structures and value‑added contributions to statutory services. - Numeracy and financial analysis proficiency. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and related marketing tools. - Attention to detail and commitment to high standards and user‑needs‑led services. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Tertiary qualification (Bachelor’s degree or higher) in Marketing, Communications, Public Health, or a related field. - Professional certification in strategic marketing or stakeholder management is desirable but not mandatory.
