**Job Title:** Principal Instrument and Control Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Lead the Instrument & Control discipline for EPC brownfield projects, ensuring engineering work meets technical, quality, budget, and schedule requirements. Act as the focal point for discipline delivery, support business management systems, and drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, and team performance.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver high‑quality engineering within budget and schedule constraints.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company HSE/quality policies.
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective workload allocation and professional growth.
- Communicate proactively with project management, client stakeholders, and inter‑discipline teams.
- Drive continuous improvement of discipline practices and documentation workflows.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Execute discipline engineering tasks following Nexos integrated brownfield delivery model.
- Serve as discipline lead or focal point as assigned; provide technical input to tenders and proposals.
- Generate, update, and control project schedules and cost data, integrating with project and planning functions.
- Manage scope changes, ensuring adherence to change control procedures.
- Review, check, and approve discipline deliverables; oversee electronic document control and archiving.
- Advise on application of applicable codes, standards, and statutory documentation.
- Facilitate communication between clients, project managers, and other disciplines; attend client‑facing meetings.
- Identify and implement improvements to processes, systems, and team performance.
- Support development of subsystem documentation and ensure it aligns with BMS requirements.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong technical knowledge of instrument and control engineering in Oil & Gas.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a discipline team within a project environment.
- Proficiency with project planning, cost control, and change management systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with experience in multi‑disciplinary design and application of analytical methods.
- Commercial acumen: understanding of contracts, procurement, and administrative aspects of engineering.
- Effective communication, stakeholder management, and teamwork.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering (preferably Petroleum, Instrumentation, Electrical, or related field).
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.
- Member of an appropriate Engineering Institute (e.g., IET, IMechE, or equivalent).
