**Job Title:** Director of Operations & Market Development – Quebec & Eastern Canada **Role Summary:** Strategic leader responsible for launching Edo Japan’s first Quebec restaurant, expanding the brand across Quebec, the Maritimes, Ottawa, and Northern Ontario, and driving franchise development and operational excellence in Eastern Canada. Must be bilingual (French/English), entrepreneurial, and capable of independent decision‑making. **Expectations:** - Bilingual proficiency in French and English (oral and written). - Minimum 10 years experience managing multi‑unit restaurants or franchise systems. - Proven track record in market expansion, franchise recruitment, and new‑concept launches. - Ability to travel throughout Eastern Canada and work on‑site in Quebec. - Strong financial acumen, analytical mindset, and relationship‑building skills. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead the opening and ongoing operations of the inaugural Quebec location. - Collaborate with real‑estate and development teams to select, design, and launch new sites. - Direct franchise development efforts: recruit, onboard, and train new franchise partners. - Provide operational guidance and performance support to franchisees in Quebec, the Maritimes, Ottawa, and Northern Ontario. - Ensure all restaurants deliver a consistent, high‑quality customer experience and adhere to brand standards. - Analyze performance metrics; devise and implement strategies to improve sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction. - Act as regional ambassador, cultivating strong relationships with franchisees, local stakeholders, and internal teams. **Required Skills:** - Multi‑unit restaurant or franchise management (≥10 years). - Franchise development, market entry, and concept launch expertise. - Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work autonomously. - Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder‑engagement abilities. - Strong financial management and data‑analysis skills. - Bilingual (French/English) fluency, both spoken and written. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred. - Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Certified Restaurant Manager, Franchise Development certification) advantageous but not mandatory.
