Job Description
Job title: IT Manager Role Summary: Serve as AVK’s internal lead for technology infrastructure and cybersecurity. Manage day‑to‑day operations with an outsourced IT provider, develop the long‑term IT roadmap, and ensure compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, and internal governance. Act as the primary liaison between business operations, data governance, and technology teams. Expectations: - Minimum 4 years of progressive IT management experience. - Proven track record managing outsourced IT services or MSPs. - Strong administrative expertise in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and related environments. - In‑depth knowledge of ISO 27001, GDPR, and IT governance standards. - Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: **Vendor & Relationship Management (35%)** - Serve as internal point of contact for CodeZero. - Maintain partnership dynamics, collaboration, and clear communication. - Coordinate hardware acquisition, installation, and lifecycle management. - Oversee onboarding of new staff—hardware, access, and setup. - Communicate planned changes, upgrades, or outages to internal teams. **Strategic IT & Infrastructure Planning (25%)** - Co‑define AVK’s IT roadmap with VP of Business Operations and Head of Data. - Identify opportunities to enhance resilience, user experience, and security. - Align infrastructure and tools with business strategy and data objectives. **Cybersecurity & Data Compliance (20%)** - Oversee cybersecurity activities delivered through CodeZero. - Partner with Head of Data and compliance team to maintain GDPR and ISO 27001 compliance. - Maintain risk registers, incident documentation, and recovery procedures. - Support reviews of data access, permissions, and device security. **Systems Oversight & Support (10%)** - Manage user experience across Microsoft 365, Fabric, SharePoint, Teams. - Work with CodeZero on configuration, permissions, and issue resolution. - Facilitate integration with Salesforce, NetSuite, and other key platforms. - Provide second‑line support, escalating through CodeZero as needed. - Collaborate with Head of Data in building AVK’s data architecture. **Policy Development & Reporting (10%)** - Maintain IT and data protection policies (acceptable use, access, retention, etc.). - Support internal and external audits with evidence of controls. - Develop training materials and guides with Enablement Manager. - Deliver structured updates on risks, progress, and improvements to VP of Business Operations. Required Skills: - Vendor and MSP management - Microsoft 365 & Office 365 administration (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange) - IT asset, license, and device security management - ISO 27001 and GDPR compliance knowledge - IT governance and risk management - Strong documentation and configuration management - Effective written and verbal communication with technical & non‑technical audiences - Problem‑solving and incident response Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) - Relevant certifications preferred: Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Lead Auditor, or equivalent cybersecurity credential.
