Job Description
**Job Title:** Business Development Manager – Exhibitions **Role Summary:** Lead end‑to‑end sponsorship and exhibition sales for a flagship international aviation technology forum. Drive revenue, build relationships with major sponsors and exhibitors, and manage the full sales cycle during a 9‑12 month maternity cover period. **Expectations:** - Achieve and exceed predefined revenue targets. - Own a high‑performance product portfolio and deliver strategic sales outcomes. - Maintain strong client relationships and provide market insight to refine sales strategy. - Represent the event at key industry gatherings, including an event in Singapore. **Key Responsibilities:** - Generate leads, conduct outreach, and manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing. - Develop and deliver tailored sponsorship proposals and commercial packages. - Maintain and grow relationships with new and returning sponsors and exhibitors. - Manage sales pipeline, track activity, and forecast revenue using CRM tools. - Collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, operations, and content teams to ensure client value and event success. - Provide insights into client needs and market trends to inform ongoing strategy. - Represent the brand at industry events and stay current on aviation and transport technology markets. **Required Skills:** - Proven B2B sponsorship, exhibition, or media sales experience. - Consultative selling approach with confidence in engaging senior stakeholders. - Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities. - Track record of meeting/exceeding revenue targets. - Excellent organization and time‑management skills; capable of handling multiple priorities. - Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and related sales tools. - Interest or knowledge of aviation, aerospace, or transport technology is highly desirable. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree (preferred; field flexible). - Relevant sales or industry certifications a plus.
