Job Description
**Job Title:** Program Aide, Adult Education Programs **Role Summary:** Provide administrative, communication, and assessment support for adult education programs. Duties include registration, file maintenance, attendance input, student outreach, event coordination, and testing assistance. Must act as liaison between students and program coordinators, ensuring accurate records and high service quality. **Expectations:** - Maintain accurate participant files and databases. - Follow up on absenteeism and document communications. - Assist with pre‑ and post‑testing (TABE and Best Plus). - Support special events and program activities. - Work flexible hours (morning/evening) to meet program needs. **Key Responsibilities:** - Type, answer phones, greet students, and manage incoming messages. - Coordinate student registration, enrollment, and documentation. - Record attendance and update internal/external databases. - Conduct intake assessments and document results. - Call students to follow up on absenteeism and collect required documents. - Log all face‑to‑face and telephone interactions with students. - Assist in planning and executing program‑wide events. - Promptly report issues or updates to the Program Coordinator. - Perform additional duties as assigned to support program objectives. - (July‑August) Transition to a comparable Education Division role when funding allows. **Required Skills:** - Detail‑oriented, strong organization and communication. - Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). - Bilingual Spanish/English (both written and spoken). - Ability to meet deadlines and work flexible hours. - Willingness to exceed program mandates for participant benefit. **Required Education & Certifications:** - High School diploma or equivalent. - No additional certifications required.
