Job Description

**Job Title:** Clinical Pharmacologist **Role Summary:** Lead the clinical pharmacology strategy for AI‑driven small‑molecule and biologic programs, driving quantitative decision‑making from preclinical through early clinical stages. Integrate pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) modeling, AI/ML insights, and translational biomarkers to guide dose selection, candidate optimization, and regulatory submissions. **Expactations:** - Deliver translational outcomes that advance candidates toward clinical success. - Communicate complex scientific data clearly to cross‑functional teams and regulatory bodies. - Mentor junior scientists and foster collaborative, data‑driven project environments. - Maintain flexibility for occasional travel and work eligibility in the UK. **Key Responsibilities:** - Define and execute clinical pharmacology strategies, including dose prediction, modeling, simulation, and biomarker development. - Design, conduct, and interpret PK/PD and physiologically‑based PK (PBPK) studies for discovery and early development phases. - Collaborate with AI/ML scientists, medicinal chemists, toxicologists, and clinicians to embed pharmacology insights into project decisions. - Leverage AI platforms to enhance predictive pharmacology and optimize clinical trial design. - Lead scientific contributions to regulatory submissions concerning PK/PD, dosing rationale, and related data. - Apply quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) and population modeling for patient stratification and dose selection. - Provide mentorship and guidance to junior translational science staff. **Required Skills:** - Expertise in PK/PD modeling, PBPK, population PK, and quantitative analysis. - Strong knowledge of AI/ML applications in drug discovery or clinical data (highly desirable). - Excellent oral and written communication, capable of translating complex concepts for multidisciplinary audiences. - Proven track record of translating pharmacology data into actionable development decisions. - Ability to work collaboratively across functional teams and lead scientific initiatives. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) in Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacology, or a related discipline. - Relevant professional experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or translational research settings. - Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
