**Job Title** Senior Performance Engineer (W2 Contract Only) **Role Summary** Design, develop, and execute advanced performance tests for web and enterprise applications, using VUGen 12+ and custom scripts across multiple protocols. Analyze results with Dynatrace, Splunk, and AWR to identify bottlenecks and provide actionable recommendations for performance optimization. **Expectations** - Mastery of LoadRunner VUGen 12+ for complex script development. - Expertise in protocol scripting (HTTP/HTML, MQ, Java, TruClient). - Advanced proficiency in performance monitoring and analysis tools. - Strong ability to translate performance findings into clear reports and improvement plans. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Build and maintain VUGen 12+ scripts for HTTP/HTML, MQ, Java, and TruClient protocols. 2. Create advanced protocol scripts to simulate realistic user behavior. 3. Monitor application performance on Windows and Linux using Dynatrace, Splunk, and Oracle AWR reports. 4. Leverage Splunk for in‑depth load test analytics and dashboard creation. 5. Identify performance bottlenecks, recommend architectural or code-level fixes, and validate outcomes. 6. Prepare detailed performance test reports, metrics, and recommendations for stakeholders. 7. Collaborate cross‑functionally with development, QA, and operations teams to embed performance into delivery cycles. **Required Skills** - 3+ years in LoadRunner VUGen 12+ advanced script development. - Strong scripting knowledge: HTTP/HTML, MQ, Java, TruClient. - Advanced Splunk usage for test analysis and reporting. - Experience with Dynatrace, Splunk, and Oracle AWR for monitoring and performance diagnostics. - Solid understanding of software architecture (.NET, Java/JEE, 3‑tier), code review, and performance tuning. - Analytical mindset, excellent communication, ability to work independently in a contract setting. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). - HP LoadRunner Accredited Professional (LAPR) or equivalent performance testing certification preferred.
