Job Title: Graduate Learning Support Assistant Role Summary: Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons, facilitating one‑to‑one and small group instruction, and fostering a safe, supportive environment for pupils. Expectations: - Recent university graduate with a passion for working with children and young people. - Willingness to learn on the job and proactively support teaching staff. - Ability to adhere to school policies, maintain confidentiality, and exhibit a positive professional attitude. Key Responsibilities: - Assist with lesson preparation, classroom organization, and activity facilitation. - Provide one‑to‑one and group support for pupils, helping them reach learning objectives. - Encourage positive behaviour, promote emotional well‑being, and contribute to a welcoming classroom atmosphere. - Support teachers during school trips and extracurricular activities. - Maintain accurate records of student progress and incidents. Required Skills: - Excellent verbal and written communication. - Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. - Patience, empathy, and a proactive mindset. - Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks. - Basic computer proficiency for lesson planning and record‑keeping. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in any subject (preferred fields: Psychology, Criminology, English, Sports Science, Sociology). - No mandatory additional certifications required.
