Job Description

**Job Title** Monitoring Engineer **Role Summary** Design and maintain enterprise‑scale monitoring and observability solutions. Develop metrics, alerts, and automation pipelines to ensure high availability and performance of critical systems, aligning technical performance with business SLAs. **Expectations** - Deliver reliable monitoring frameworks that drive proactive incident resolution. - Integrate monitoring with ITSM for seamless incident, change, and event management. - Continuously improve monitoring coverage and accuracy at scale. **Key Responsibilities** - Architect and implement monitoring solutions using Zabbix, vRealize Operations, Nagios, Science Logic, and other tools. - Define and manage SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs tied to business objectives. - Design and run AIOps‑driven automation for incident triage, remediation, and escalation. - Integrate monitoring data with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms. - Conduct detailed design, execution, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of monitoring systems. - Collaborate with IT functional owners, SMEs, and cross‑functional teams to refine monitoring architecture. **Required Skills** - ≥5 years of hands‑on experience with enterprise monitoring technologies. - Deep knowledge of networking (switches), server hardware, storage, and virtualization (VMware). - Proficiency in designing and maintaining monitoring for multi‑platform environments. - Experience with configuration and automation within monitoring ecosystems. - Strong communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or equivalent are advantageous. ---
