Job title: Technology Delivery Director
Role Summary: 6‑9 month interim contract leading end‑to‑end technology delivery and portfolio management for a media organization. Acts as an extension of the CPTO, overseeing cross‑functional coordination, IT strategy, vendor management, FinOps, and incident/problem resolution.
Expectations: Deliver programs on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic priorities. Identify and mitigate risks early, drive continuous improvement, and maintain robust cybersecurity and service quality across global operations. Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and serve as a trusted advisor to business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive progress of technology and portfolio initiatives, ensuring completion and quality.
- Identify, assess, and resolve delivery, dependency, and coordination risks.
- Serve as primary liaison between technology, product, and business teams; represent the CPTO in governance forums and senior leadership meetings.
- Optimize technology costs and support FinOps practices across the organization.
- Lead internal IT strategy, manage the IT team, and oversee external vendor SLAs and service delivery.
- Continuously improve internal technology processes, documentation, and training.
- Ensure robust IT support, infrastructure performance, and cybersecurity posture globally.
- Lead incident and problem management processes for rapid resolution and improvement.
- Act as a trusted advisor, translating business needs into scalable technology solutions and implementing best practices.
Required Skills:
- Proven leadership in technology delivery and portfolio management.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and cross‑functional coordination.
- Expertise in risk management, vendor management, and FinOps.
- Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (ITIL, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent).
- Experience with incident and problem management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinking, adaptability, and problem‑solving ability.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Preferred certifications: PMP, Prince2, ITIL Foundation, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or similar.
