Director, Technology Delivery | 6-9 Month Contract Role | Prestigious Media Organisation |Inside IR35 | Hybrid 2-3 Days in London

I am currently working with an exciting, forward-thinking Media Leader based in London who are looking for an Interim Director in Technology Delivery to join the business and act as an extension of the CPTO. This means they will be responsible for Portfolio Management, Technical Delivery and acting as a Chief of Staff in certain situations. The company and senior leadership team are evolving so during this transitional phase as they grow they need someone who will be able to support.

Key Responsibilities of the Director, Technology Delivery:

Delivery & Portfolio Leadership

Drive progress across key technology and portfolio initiatives, ensuring delivery remains on track and is carried through to completion.
Identify potential delivery, dependency, or coordination risks early and work proactively with stakeholders to resolve them.
Serve as the key link between Technology and Portfolio leadership, ensuring alignment on priorities, progress, and outcomes.
Optimise technology costs and support FinOps practices across the organisation.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Communication

Coordinate activities across cross-functional teams, addressing issues, removing blockers, and ensuring smooth collaboration.
Act as a central communication point between Technology, Product, and Business teams.
Represent the CPTO in governance forums, project/program/portfolio reviews, and senior leadership meetings.
Provide timely, proactive, and responsive updates to senior stakeholders.

IT Strategy, Operations & Vendor Management

Lead the internal IT strategy and manage the IT team, overseeing the implementation of strategic initiatives.
Oversee services provided by external vendors, ensuring SLA compliance and high-quality delivery.
Continuously improve internal Technology processes, procedures, documentation, and training.
Ensure robust IT support, infrastructure performance, and Cyber Security posture across global locations.
Lead Incident and Problem Management processes to ensure rapid resolution and continuous improvement.

Business Partnership & Best Practices

Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and IT leadership, offering strategic insight and guidance.
Understand business needs and translate them into effective, scalable technology solutions.
Develop and implement best practices across Technology to strengthen delivery excellence and operational maturity.
