Job Description
Job title: Inside Business Development Representative Role Summary: Drive outbound lead generation and early-stage relationship building to expand the pipeline of employee and union clients across Atlantic Canada, delivering qualified prospects to the business development team for presentation and close. Expectations: - Execute targeted outreach campaigns to identify new business opportunities. - Qualify prospects and schedule introductory meetings with potential clients. - Transition warm leads to the sales team while maintaining a smooth handoff. - Meet or exceed monthly outbound activity and qualified lead metrics. - Continuously research market opportunities within the employee benefits and virtual care sectors. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct outbound cold calling, email, and LinkedIn outreach to prospective organizations. - Research and map decision‑makers in target accounts. - Qualify prospects using qualification frameworks (e.g., BANT). - Manage and update prospect information in CRM systems. - Coordinate introductory meetings and prepare relevant collateral. - Collaborate with the Director of Business Development for sales enablement. - Track and report on outreach activity, conversion rates, and pipeline status. - Stay informed on industry trends and competitor offerings. Required Skills: - 1–3 years of inside sales or lead‑generation experience. - Proficient with CRM platforms (Zoho, Salesforce, etc.) and digital prospecting tools. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment. - Ability to articulate value propositions clearly to non‑technical audiences. - Analytical mindset for data‑driven outreach and reporting. - Interest or knowledge of healthcare, virtual care, or employee benefits is an asset. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred. - Sales or business‑development certifications (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce Trailhead) – optional but advantageous. ---
