Job title: Director, IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity
Role Summary: Leads the university’s IT infrastructure and cybersecurity programs, developing strategy, managing operations, safeguarding assets, and aligning technology with institutional goals. Reports to the CIO and sits on the senior leadership team.
Expectations: Deliver strategic vision, maintain secure, resilient operations, drive modernization, manage risk and finances, build high‑performance teams, ensure compliance, and communicate status to executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute long‑term ITS strategy aligned with Vision 2030 and Finance/Administration priorities.
- Define and govern the university’s IT risk framework; manage operational, cyber, and enterprise risk.
- Lead proposal development, business cases, and governance of major technology initiatives.
- Oversee end‑to‑end lifecycle of mission‑critical hardware and services—planning, design, deployment, operation, maintenance.
- Architect enterprise security controls, integrate them into system design, and conduct architectural reviews.
- Own business continuity, disaster recovery, and the Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan (CSIRP).
- Direct vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, patch management, and security monitoring.
- Develop and administer unit budget, analyze budgets, forecast, and report financial performance.
- Manage vendor selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance for software, hardware, and outsourced services.
- Recruit, coach, mentor, and evaluate a multidisciplinary team of infrastructure and cybersecurity professionals.
