**Job Title:** Business Development Director – Utility Solar (France) **Role Summary:** Lead and execute the growth strategy for utility‑scale solar projects across France and the broader European market. Drive revenue generation, secure large‑scale projects, and cultivate strategic partnerships with developers, IPPs, EPC contractors, and investors. **Expectations:** - Deliver measurable market share expansion and project acquisition targets. - Operate autonomously within a remote, cross‑functional team environment. - Influence strategic direction with actionable market insights and regulatory analysis. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and implement a business development strategy for utility‑scale solar across France and Europe. - Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities. - Lead end‑to‑end sales cycles, managing complex, multi‑stage deals with developers, IPPs, EPCs, and investors. - Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies and industry partners. - Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and project‑management teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery. - Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance brand visibility and network development. **Required Skills:** - 8‑10 years of business development or sales experience in the solar energy sector, with a proven record in utility‑scale projects. - Deep understanding of the European energy market, regulatory frameworks, and solar project development processes. - Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities; adept at engaging senior decision‑makers. - Proficiency in French and English; additional European language skills are a plus. - Strategic thinker, self‑motivated, and capable of working independently while fostering collaboration across global teams. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. - No specific certifications required beyond the applicable degree.
