About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Business Development Director to drive the growth of Aiko's Utility Solar business across France and the European market. This remote position requires a professional based in France, who will be responsible for expanding our market presence, securing large-scale solar projects, and building lasting partnerships with key industry players.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the business development strategy for utility-scale solar projects across France and Europe, identifying new opportunities and expanding Aiko’s market share.
Conduct in-depth market research and analysis of the European utility solar sector, monitoring regulatory changes, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
Lead the end-to-end acquisition of utility clients, including developers, IPPs, EPC contractors, and investors, managing complex, multi-stage sales cycles.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients, government bodies, and industry partners.
Collaborate closely with internal teams including engineering, supply chain, and project management to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
Represent Aiko at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance brand visibility and network within the European solar sector.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
8-10 years of business development or sales experience in the solar energy industry, with a demonstrated track record in utility-scale projects across France/Europe.
Strong understanding of the European energy market, regulatory frameworks, and solar project development processes.
Existing network of contacts within the French and European utility solar industry is highly desirable.
Fluency in French and English is required. Additional European language skills are a plus.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior decision-makers.
Self-motivated, strategic thinker, able to work independently in a remote setting while driving collaboration across global teams.
