Job title: Director of Business Development Role Summary: Lead expansion of contract development and manufacturing services across Southern Europe, focusing on acquiring new clients and maintaining relationships with pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Drive revenue growth through strategic sales, market intelligence, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Expactations: - Proven ability to exceed sales targets in the CDMO sector. - Deep knowledge of European regulatory frameworks for pharmaceutical development and manufacturing. - Expertise in formulation, analytical, oral solid dose, and sterile manufacturing processes. - Strong interpersonal skills to engage scientific and technical stakeholders. - Fluency in English; additional proficiency in French, German, or Spanish preferred. Key Responsibilities: - Identify and develop new business opportunities with prospects and targets in Southern Europe. - Manage and grow existing client relationships to achieve sales objectives. - Collaborate with R&D, production, and regulatory teams to tailor solutions for clients. - Maintain accurate reporting, forecasting, and CRM data. - Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform sales strategy. Required Skills: - 5+ years of business development or sales experience in CDMO or pharmaceutical manufacturing services. - In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical development lifecycle, from early development through commercial manufacturing. - Knowledge of formulation development, analytical services, and small‑molecule drug development. - Experience with oral solid dose, sterile processing, aseptic techniques, and lyophilization. - Strong analytical, negotiation, and presentation abilities. - Ability to work independently and as part of a multi‑disciplinary team. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field. - MBA or advanced degree highly desirable. - Relevant certifications in pharmaceutical regulation or quality management are a plus.
