**Job Title**
AI Automation Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, build, and maintain end‑to‑end automated workflows that integrate AI/LLMs and enterprise APIs to streamline operational processes. Work cross‑functionally to capture business requirements, map existing pipelines, and deliver scalable, monitored automation solutions.
**Expectations**

- Deliver production‑ready automations that improve efficiency and reduce manual friction.
- Continuously monitor performance, troubleshoot, and optimize workflows at scale.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Map, document, and analyze current operational workflows.
- Identify automation opportunities and design multi‑step solutions.
- Build and deploy automations primarily using n8n (or equivalent).
- Integrate REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks, databases, CRMs, and support tools.
- Develop custom nodes/scripts in JavaScript/Python as required.
- Embed AI models (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) for data extraction, routing, classification, and decision logic.
- Apply prompt engineering, function‑calling, and vector‑database integration.
- Parse and transform data across PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Airtable, Notion, spreadsheets.
- Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and dashboards for reliability.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of automations and processes.
**Required Skills**
- 2–5+ years in automation engineering, technical operations, or solutions engineering.
- Strong hands‑on experience with n8n (Make/Zapier acceptable).
- Proficient with REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks, and multi‑step workflow design.
- Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Anthropic).
- Knowledge of prompt engineering and function‑based task design.
- Ability to write and extend JavaScript/TypeScript or Python scripts.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
- Effective collaboration with non‑technical stakeholders.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, or data‑engineering certifications) are a plus.
