**Job Title**
Grant & Partnership Officer
**Role Summary**
Provide strategic administrative support to the International Operations Department by managing relationships with public and private funding partners, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, and coordinating grant submissions, reports, and partnership agreements for multi‑country projects and headquarters.
**Expectations**
Deliver timely, compliant grant proposals and reports; maintain up‑to‑date contractual records; support donor engagement across Belgium and field offices; manage due‑diligence procedures and donor platforms; contribute to policy development and documentation of partnership standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Identify and monitor funding opportunities from institutional donors and foundations; assess eligibility and strategic fit.
- Support drafting, reviewing, and submitting multi‑country grant proposals and performance reports, including preparing templates and consolidating submissions.
- Negotiate, draft, and validate Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and contract instruments with partners, ensuring alignment with internal policies and donor terms.
- Maintain rigorous archival of contracts, MoUs, and donor files; manage access to donor portals and data entry into IATI and related platforms.
- Conduct and coordinate due‑diligence processes for new and existing partners.
- Track and communicate compliance deadlines (reporting, audits, financial milestones) to departmental and country teams.
- Provide instructions and training to field staff on donor guidelines, contractual obligations, and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to update monitoring tools, policy documents, and partnership strategies.
**Required Skills**
- Strong understanding of public donor frameworks (ECHO, INTPA, UN agencies) and private foundation processes.
- Experience in grant proposal writing, proposal consolidation, and performance reporting.
- Proficient with database management, donor portals, and IATI data entry.
- Excellent organizational, drafting, and compliance‑tracking abilities.
- Effective communication and coordination with multi‑functional and multi‑country teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with online collaboration tools.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Project Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a similar grant, partnership, or donor relations role within an NGO or international organization.
- Knowledge of EU grant regulations and humanitarian funding systems is advantageous.
