Job title: Senior DevSecOps / Platform Engineer
Role Summary:
Design, build, and maintain secure, automated infrastructure for healthcare and federal‑facing platforms. Lead IaC initiatives, system hardening, CI/CD pipeline automation, and security integration across cloud and on‑prem environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance.
Expactations:
- U.S. citizenship required.
- 5+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps/SRE/platform engineering roles.
- Proven ability to automate infrastructure and configuration with Terraform, Ansible, and related IaC tools.
- Hands‑on Linux administration, hardening, and troubleshooting.
- Strong cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) experience with secure deployment patterns.
- Ability to embed security best practices into engineering workflows and meet regulatory requirements.
- Ownership mindset, excellent problem‑solving, and cross‑team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Docker, Helm/Kustomize, and Kubernetes.
- Automate configuration, system hardening, compliance checks, and secure CI/CD pipelines.
- Improve platform reliability, scalability, observability, and monitoring.
- Integrate security controls (STIGs, RMF, CIS benchmarks) into operations.
- Collaborate with engineering, compliance, and security teams to operationalize regulatory controls.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and Linux system issues.
- Support containerized workloads and image‑building workflows.
- Support security automation and compliance pipelines (e.g., OpenSCAP, Vault, SIEM/SOAR).
Required Skills:
- Terraform IaC expertise.
- Linux system administration, hardening, and scripting.
- Automation tools: Ansible, Packer, Docker, Helm/Kustomize, Kubernetes.
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP – secure deployment patterns.
- Networking fundamentals, security controls, and monitoring tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, ownership, and communication skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- (Optional) Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Terraform Associate, or CISSP/CEH for preferred candidates.
