Job Description
Job Title: Senior Project Manager Role Summary: Lead and deliver commercial construction and refurbishment projects from tender through to completion, ensuring full lifecycle management, client satisfaction, and commercial control. Expectations: Demonstrate senior leadership, work autonomously, manage multiple live projects simultaneously, maintain strong client relationships, and exercise commercial oversight throughout the project. Key Responsibilities: - Own full project lifecycle: tender, scoping, estimation, pricing, and commercial negotiations. - Prepare and submit tender documents and pricing for commercial construction/refurbishment projects. - Develop, manage, and report on project programmes using Microsoft Project and Excel. - Act as Principal Contractor, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations. - Lead and coordinate site and project management teams, promoting efficient and safe execution. - Maintain client communication and manage expectations across project stages. Required Skills: - Extensive experience as a Senior Project Manager or Construction Manager in commercial settings. - Proven track record of delivering commercial construction or refurbishment projects to scope, time, and budget. - Strong understanding of pre‑construction processes, cost planning, and value engineering. - Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and project management systems. - Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and commercial negotiation abilities. Required Education & Certifications: - SMSTS (Site Management Scheme Training Scheme) certification. - CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card. - Relevant construction project management education or equivalent experience.
