**Job Title:** Jira Administrator
**Role Summary:** Optimize and manage an Atlassian Cloud ecosystem (Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence). Configure workflows, automate processes, ensure data integrity, and deliver user support and training.
**Expectations:** Deliver reliable, secure platform performance, enable business stakeholders to create and track projects efficiently, and maintain governance and compliance across all Atlassian tools.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Configure and maintain Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence, including workflows, screens, fields, SLA policies, automation rules, and notifications.
- Manage add‑on lifecycle: evaluate, test, install, and upgrade plugins.
- Oversee backups, upgrades, monitoring, disaster recovery, and performance tuning.
- Design and produce reports, dashboards, and filters for business and compliance reporting.
- Implement integrations via REST APIs and webhooks with external systems.
- Administer user, group, and role permissions, applying least‑privilege principles.
- Conduct audits, archive obsolete projects, and enforce platform governance.
- Develop runbooks, documentation, and deliver training workshops for technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and business leaders to translate requirements into solutions.
**Required Skills:**
- ≥3 years Jira Administrator experience in medium–large environments.
- In‑depth knowledge of Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and Atlassian Cloud.
- Experience with system upgrades, patching, performance monitoring, and disaster recovery.
- Familiarity with ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
- Scripting skills (Groovy, Python, or Bash) for automation.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
- Atlassian certifications (e.g., Jira Administrator, Agile Development).
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC, HIPAA, HITRUST, PCI) is a plus.
