Job Description
**Job Title** Development Officer **Role Summary** Support the growth and retention of the federation’s SME members across the department. Act as the federation’s ambassador to businesses, partners, and institutions, delivering consistent, high‑quality service and representation. **Expectations** - Deliver measurable increases in membership numbers. - Maintain a professional, value‑aligned communication style. - Demonstrate self‑motivation, organization, and a client‑centric approach. - Travel regularly within the department for events and client visits. **Key Responsibilities** - Prospect and acquire new members through phone, networking events, and targeted outreach. - Present the federation’s mission, services, and tailored solutions to prospective members. - Contribute to the strategic development of the federation. - Conduct regular follow‑ups, provide support, and actively listen to member concerns. - Foster trust with business leaders, partners, and elected officials. - Relay on‑ground insights to improve services and processes. - Represent the federation at public events and industry gatherings with professionalism and clarity. - Operate and maintain CRM (Salesforce), Notion, Outlook, Office suite, LinkedIn, and Mailchimp; ensure accurate data entry and reporting dashboards. **Required Skills** - Minimum of one year in a commercial sales role, with proven prospecting, active listening, and closing ability. - Deep understanding of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. - Strong interpersonal, persuasive, and public‑speaking capabilities. - Proficiency in digital tools and collaboration platforms. - High standards of precision, organization, and follow‑up. - Dynamic, results‑oriented, and resilient mindset. - Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field (preferred). - Any sales or communication certifications are an advantage.
