Job Description
Job Title: Business Analyst – Gas & Energy Trading Role Summary: Business Analyst to define, document and validate reference data solutions for gas and energy trading systems. Works with domain, product and architecture teams to ensure data standards, governance and integration meet trading requirements. Expectations: - Deliver clear, actionable business requirements for reference data initiatives. - Produce functional specifications, support testing and validate Proof‑of‑Concept outcomes. - Facilitate stakeholder workshops, impact analysis and business case development. Key Responsibilities: - Gather and document business requirements for reference data solutions. - Analyse existing data flows, identify gaps and propose remediation. - Support feasibility studies and PoC validation. - Collaborate with domain leads, product managers and architects to align objectives. - Assist in defining data standards and governance processes. - Prepare functional specifications and support testing phases (unit, UAT, regression). Required Skills: - Strong analytical, problem‑solving and quantitative skills. - Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities. - Familiarity with data governance, reference data concepts and data quality frameworks. - Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple teams. - Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Visio, Jira and related documentation tools. - Experience in agile delivery environments and change‑oriented projects. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. - Relevant certifications (CBAP, PMI‑PBA, or equivalent) preferred. ---
