Job Description
**Job Title** Sales Associate – Cell and Gene Therapy **Role Summary** Drive incremental growth by qualifying and delivering opportunities from multiple lead-generation sources to the field Business Development team. Serve as the first touchpoint for prospective customers, evaluating needs against Catalent’s product and technology portfolio, and coordinating hand‑offs that meet strategic sales goals. **Expectations** - Convert inbound and outbound leads into qualified sales opportunities. - Maintain a pipeline of prospects aligned with business unit capabilities. - Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Operations, and field teams to refine targeting and qualification criteria. - Travel within Europe as required to support lead engagement and hand‑offs. **Key Responsibilities** - Manage leads from diverse sources (marketing campaigns, targeted outreach, inbound requests). - Conduct needs assessments for prospective customers and match them to appropriate solutions. - Create prospect lists and territory plans in partnership with Business Development. - Execute targeted campaigns to generate qualified leads for specific molecule profiles. - Translate marketing leads into qualified opportunities and document necessary legal filings. - Provide feedback to improve lead profiling, prioritization, and qualification processes. - Maintain comprehensive knowledge of cell and gene therapy technologies and internal SMEs. - Ensure compliance with sales operations procedures, reporting, and CRM data entry. **Required Skills** - Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication; presentation skills. - Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred). - Ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams. - Comfortable engaging with scientific and technical personnel. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or related field (preferred). - Ph.D. in a scientific discipline or MBA is a plus. - Experience in healthcare/life‑science industry sales or customer‑facing roles. - Knowledge of cell and gene therapy is desirable.
