Job Title: Release Train Engineer (RTE)
Role Summary: Servant leader and facilitator for a SAFe Agile Release Train, coordinating program-level activities, ceremonies, and multi‑team alignment to ensure quality deployments.
Expectations: Lead PI planning, System Demos, ART Sync, and Inspect & Adapt events; manage dependencies across 8–15 Agile teams; drive continuous improvement and risk mitigation; own end‑to‑end release lifecycle and ensure compliance and minimal risk.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate PI Planning, System Demos, ART Sync, Inspect & Adapt, and release reviews.
• Coordinate dependencies, risks, and impediments across 8–15 Agile teams.
• Own release lifecycle: calendars, cut‑over plans, deployment schedules, versioning, release notes, CAB approvals, and post‑release validation.
• Collaborate with Product Management, System Architects, DevOps, QA, Security, Infra, and Operations.
• Drive transparency using flow metrics, PI progress, and ART burndown.
• Coach teams on SAFe practices and influence stakeholders to adopt improvement actions.
Required Skills:
• Proficiency with Agile tools (JIRA, Rally, Azure DevOps, Trello, etc.).
• Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in release management, deployment planning, and compliance.
• Knowledge of SAFe framework, PI Planning, and ART processes.
• Analytical mindset for metrics and continuous improvement.
Required Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification preferred.
• Additional Agile certifications (e.g., PMI-ACP, ScrumT, SAFe Scrum Master) are a plus.
