Role: Release Train Engineer

W2 Contract Position

Hybrid Role in Atlanta, GA

JD:

A servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART).
Operates within the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
Focuses on program-level coordination, Agile ceremonies, team alignment, and removing impediments.

Release Management

A process-oriented function responsible for planning, scheduling, tracking, and deploying releases into production.
Ensures releases are delivered with quality, compliance, and minimal risk.

RTE Responsibilities

Facilitates PI Planning, System Demos, ART Sync, and Inspect & Adapt.
Coordinates dependencies across 8–15 Agile teams.
Removes risks, blockers, and ensures continuous improvement.
Aligns with Product Management & System Architects.
Drives transparency using metrics (flow metrics, PI progress, ART burndown).

Release Management Responsibilities

Owns the end-to-end release lifecycle.
Creates release calendars, cut-over plans, and deployment schedules.
Manages versioning, release notes, change approvals (CAB), and compliance.
Coordinates with DevOps, QA, Security, Infra, and Operations.
Ensures successful deployment and post-release validation.

Hands-on experience with Agile tools (JIRA, Rally, Azure DevOps, Trello, etc.).
Proven ability to coach teams and influence stakeholders.
