Founding AI/Fullstack Engineer
**Role Summary**
Lead the technical vision and execution for a vertical AI platform that accelerates M&A deal cycles. Own end‑to‑end development of agentic AI systems, scalable data pipelines, and RESTful services, while shaping product strategy and mentoring a small engineering team in a fast‑moving seed‑stage startup.
**Expectations**

**Key Responsibilities**
1. Design and implement scalable agentic AI workflows (multi‑step planning, routing, memory, retrieval) that drive M&A lead sourcing and mandate execution.
2. Build and maintain robust data pipelines, model inference services, and third‑party integrations using Python, SQL, and TypeScript.
3. Create and expose high‑performance RESTful APIs (FastAPI/Azure) for front‑end and partner consumption.
4. Conduct model evaluation, benchmarking, and optimization to ensure accuracy, speed, and reliability.
5. Document architectural decisions, coding standards, and deployment procedures; lead code reviews and enforce quality.
6. Mentor junior engineers, fostering skill development, code ownership, and collaborative problem‑solving.
7. Work closely with product, design, and ops to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
8. Participate in product road‑mapping, GTM discussions, and fundraising communications to align engineering strategy with company goals.
**Required Skills**
- **AI & Machine Learning**: Agentic systems, multi‑step planning, retrieval‑augmented generation, model evaluation.
- **Programming**: Proficiency in Python (FastAPI, Celery), TypeScript, SQL; strong command of version control (Git).
- **Backend & Cloud**: Experience with Azure services, Postgres, API design, and orchestration frameworks.
- **Data Engineering**: Build scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and integrate external data sources.
- **Product Acumen**: User‑centered design focus, metrics definition, iterative release cycles.
