Job Description
Job title: Business Development Manager – Commercial & Specialty Roofing Role Summary: Lead commercial roofing sales by identifying and securing new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with contractors, developers, and property managers, and driving revenue growth across the Tri‑State market. Expectations: - Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets through pipeline development and closed deals. - Maintain a robust, qualified prospect pipeline aligned with target markets. - Provide accurate sales activity reporting and market intelligence to senior leadership. Key Responsibilities: - Prospect and generate new business via networking, industry events, and client site visits. - Build and strengthen relationships with general contractors, developers, property managers, and owners. - Present client meetings and proposals, articulating project solutions and value propositions. - Collaborate with Estimators and Sales to qualify opportunities and handoff for quotes. - Guide customers through prequalification and bid requirements. - Track prospect activity and engagement using CRM platforms; maintain weekly reporting. - Monitor regional construction market trends and competitor activity. - Represent the company at trade shows and events. Required Skills: - 7+ years of business development, client acquisition, or commercial construction sales experience; roofing expertise preferred. - Proven track record of new revenue generation and account expansion. - CRM proficiency. - Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. - Ability to work independently, plan effectively, and manage multiple priorities. - Knowledge of construction project lifecycles and commercial roofing materials (preferred). Required Education & Certifications: - Valid driver’s license required.
