Job Description
**Job Title** E&I Construction Package Lead **Role Summary** Lead the electrical & instrumentation construction package for a large waste‑to‑energy facility, bridging detailed design to construction execution. Oversee safety, constructability, AWP, and coordination across civil, mechanical, and commissioning disciplines while ensuring compliance with HSEQ standards and project deliverables. **Expectations** - Provide end‑to‑end leadership of the E&I scope from design review to on‑site delivery. - Maintain an incident‑free culture and meet safety targets. - Deliver construction‑ready design outputs and work packs within schedule and budget. - Act as the primary interface for construction, engineering, procurement, and subcontractors. **Key Responsibilities** - Lead safety and quality supervision for the E&I construction scope. - Review and approve design deliverables (P&IDs, SLDs, drawings, datasheets) for constructability. - Conduct constructability reviews, identify optimisation opportunities, and resolve design issues. - Develop, review, and approve E&I construction strategies, work packs, and AWP documents. - Manage and review AWP readiness: materials, tooling, safety, sequence, access, and constructability. - Escalate and manage construction growth; update schedules and cost estimates. - Coordinate with civil, mechanical, commissioning teams to eliminate clashes and ensure sequencing. - Interface with Engineering, Procurement, Subcontracts, and Project Controls. - Attend project meetings, provide updates on scope, risks, and progress. - Identify early wins, efficiency improvements, and risk mitigation actions for the E&I scope. **Required Skills** - Strong knowledge of electrical & instrumentation design and construction in large energy or industrial projects. - Proficiency with AWP methodology and project controls tools. - Leadership and team management experience. - Excellent communication (verbal & written) and stakeholder engagement. - Detail‑oriented, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. - Ability to work independently and methodically under tight schedules. **Required Education & Certifications** - Minimum HNC in an engineering‑related subject or equivalent apprenticeship. - 10+ years senior experience in engineering construction, ideally on energy or power projects. - Relevant HSEQ or safety certifications preferred.
