Job Description: Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer Role Summary: Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of monitoring and alerting systems for a high‑frequency crypto trading platform. Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance through automation, proactive issue resolution, and cross‑team collaboration. Expectations: - Independent ownership of end‑to‑end monitoring pipelines. - High‑availability, low‑latency alerting aligned with business SLAs. - Strong collaboration with Development, QA, and DevOps to drive stability. - Continuous improvement of tooling, processes, and security posture. Key Responsibilities: - Build, maintain, and optimize resilient monitoring/alerting infrastructure for mission‑critical services. - Automate production testing to validate scalability and reliability. - Diagnose, troubleshoot, and proactively resolve performance and software issues. - Own technical issue resolution lifecycle across multiple teams. - Recommend and implement architectural enhancements and process improvements. - Research, evaluate, and adopt new monitoring, alerting, and DevOps tools. - Enforce rigorous security practices to safeguard core systems. Required Skills: - 5–8 years of Node.js / JavaScript development in large‑scale, production environments. - Deep understanding of REST APIs and WebSocket protocols. - Hands‑on experience with AWS or GCP cloud services. - Strong knowledge of distributed systems and scalability challenges. - Proficiency with Linux operating systems and shell scripting. - Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly in English. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (preferred). - Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, etc.) desirable but not mandatory.
