Background

My client is a tier 1 crypto exchange known globally and they are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer/DevOps Engineer to lead the development and evolution of our internal monitoring and alerting systems that support high-load, real-time production environments in Crypto Trading.

In this role, you will design, build, and refine monitoring and alerting solutions, validate them in production, and work closely with Development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure system stability and performance.

This is a full-time remote position, with preference for candidates in European time zones.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain resilient monitoring and alerting systems for mission-critical infrastructure
Automate production testing to ensure scalability and reliability
Diagnose and resolve performance and software issues proactively
Track and drive technical issues to closure across multiple teams
Recommend and implement architectural and process improvements
Research and evaluate new tools, technologies, and vendor offerings
Apply strong security practices to protect core systems

Requirements

5-8 years of Node.js/JavaScript development experience, ideally supporting large-scale production systems
Strong understanding of REST APIs and WebSockets
Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP
Solid knowledge of distributed systems
Proficient with Linux environments
Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly
