Job Description
**Job Title** People & Culture Generalist (12‑Month Contract) **Role Summary** Support and shape the remote‑first culture and employee experience of a high‑growth SaaS organization. Execute full‑cycle recruiting, onboarding/off‑boarding, payroll support, benefits administration, performance management, and continuous employee engagement initiatives while ensuring compliance with employment laws and HR best practices. **Expactations** - Deliver a seamless and engaging employee journey from hire to exit. - Maintain accuracy and timeliness in payroll, benefits, and HRIS data. - Drive measurable improvements in employee engagement scores and retention metrics. - Demonstrate proactive problem‑solving, independent judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑changing environment. **Key Responsibilities** - Partner with hiring managers to define roles, screen candidates, and select top talent. - Manage end‑to‑end onboarding and exit processes, including documentation, technology setup, and feedback collection. - Support bi‑weekly payroll processing and maintain employee records in collaboration with Finance. - Administer benefits programs, field inquiries, and recommend enhancements. - Lead employee engagement programs: design surveys, analyze results, and collaborate with leaders on action plans. - Develop and execute remote‑first culture initiatives, rituals, and events (virtual and in‑person). - Provide remote work support, coordinate IT resources, and address employee challenges. - Gather employee feedback, share insights with leadership, and drive continuous improvement. - Keep abreast of employment legislation and assist in policy development. **Required Skills** - Full‑cycle recruiting experience in a remote or distributed context. - Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and remote work dynamics. - Proficiency with HRIS (e.g., Employment Hero) and other HR software. - Excellent written and verbal communication; strong presentation skills. - Exceptional organizational and detail‑orientation. - Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and work independently. - Experience in a scaling or high‑growth environment is an asset. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. - No mandatory certifications required.
