Job Description
**Job Title:** Risk Analyst I, Economic & Residual Management **Role Summary:** Provide quantitative analysis and reporting to support risk management for economic and residual portfolios. Leverage data mining tools, database design, and business intelligence to generate actionable insights for senior management and cross‑functional teams. **Expectations:** - Conduct data mining, modeling, and trend analysis using SQL, SAS, Python, R, Tableau, or equivalent. - Create and present clear reports and visualizations to inform strategic decisions. - Ensure data accuracy, troubleshoot deficiencies, and maintain data integrity across systems. - Collaborate with IT and business units on database and reporting solutions. - Handle sensitive personal data with strict confidentiality. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform quantitative analysis on portfolio performance, market valuations, depreciation, and residuals. - Prepare recurring and ad‑hoc performance and projection reports for management. - Identify, document, and track risk indicators, presenting findings to stakeholders. - Resolve data issues, validate calculations, and validate data quality. - Support Risk Management in requirement gathering, business case development, and solution implementation. - Maintain timely updates on regulatory and policy changes affecting risk metrics. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in SQL and at least one statistical/machine‑learning platform (SAS, Python, R). - Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking abilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication; able to simplify complex data for non‑technical audiences. - Detail oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, Economics, Risk Management, or Finance. - Minimum of 1 year of risk experience in consumer finance and 1 year of data mining/database analysis. - Preferred: Master’s degree in one of the aforementioned fields and experience building or working with statistical models.
