Position Summary

The Risk Analyst I, Economic and Residual Management, will provide data and reporting to various departments to facilitate the identification, documentation, analysis, monitoring, mitigation and tracking of risks for Stellantis Financial Services as an organization. The Risk Analyst I, Economic and Residual Management, will also collaborate with other branches of the Risk department, as well as with management from other departments in various business capacities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Uses quantitative and analytical skills to mine, process and analyze data using SQL, SAS, Python, R, Tableau, MS Excel or similar spreadsheet programs and other business tools.
Develops and presents analysis on performance, trends and projections to upper management to facilitate business and strategic decisions.
Prepares and distributes recurring and ad-hoc analysis and reporting on portfolios including performance and projections.
Provides easy-to-understand, action-oriented analytical reports and other presentations to the management team.
Identifies and evaluates portfolio trends with respect to market valuations, depreciation, residuals and other factors.
Trouble-shoots data deficiencies and errors to ensure timely and accurate analysis of the data.
Confers with IT and functional business lines to evaluate, design, implement and maintain relational databases and/or large data sets.
Works with the Risk Management team to gather requirements and develop business cases as necessary.
This position involves regular access to sensitive consumers personal information, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers and dates of birth.

Required Experience

Risk Internship work or one (1) year of Risk experience in consumer finance industry.
One (1) year minimum experience in data mining, interpreting data models and databases.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in: Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, Economics, Risk Management or Finance.

Skills Required

Proficient with using SQL, SAS, Python, R or other business intelligence software to analyze large datasets; joining multiple tables to cover all aspects of a request.
Intermediate experience with using Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI.
Detail oriented with problem solving and critical thinking capabilities to gather and analyze diverse data to reach useful conclusions.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to practical situations when carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Capable of maintaining a high level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
Overtime required – required on an as needed basis.
Travel 0-10% - as required on an as needed basis.
Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Dallas, TX

Qualifications Preferred

Master’s Degree in: Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, Economics, Risk Management or Finance.
Experience building, or working with, statistical models.
Prior Auto finance or captive industry is a plus!
