Job Description
Job Title: Senior Business Architects (Independent) Role Summary: Independent senior consultant providing enterprise‑level business architecture advisory. Leads and shapes strategy‑to‑execution frameworks, governance, and decision support for senior stakeholders across Benelux, UK, and Ireland. Drives alignment between strategy, operating models, value streams, and cross‑domain integration, delivering clear, executive‑grade narratives that facilitate board‑room decisions. Expactations: - 10+ years of experience in business or enterprise architecture, predominantly advisory‑heavy. - Able to lead senior stakeholders, chair or influence steering committees, and convert ambiguity into structured decisions. - Resides in Benelux, UK, or Ireland and can work with clients across these regions. - Fluent in English (additional Dutch/French a strong advantage). Key Responsibilities: - Design, set‑up, or refresh business architecture frameworks (scope, methodology, governance, repository). - Map capabilities and produce capability‑based roadmaps. - Architect value streams and align customer journeys. - Develop Target Operating Models and enterprise‑wide design that translate strategy into execution. - Translate strategy into roadmaps, sequencing, and investment cases. - Drive cross‑domain alignment between business, data, and technology without acting as a tech architect. - Provide decision support to executives and steering committees, framing options, impacts, risks, and recommendations. Required Skills: - Deep expertise in business architecture and enterprise architecture principles. - Executive‑level advisory and stakeholder management skills. - Strong decision‑framing and trade‑off analysis. - Ability to communicate complex architecture in plain, executive‑friendly language. - Governance, decision‑rights, and accountable delivery mindset. - Pragmatic mindset: produce just‑enough artefacts for clarity and adoption. Required Education & Certifications: - Minimum 10 years of relevant architecture experience. - TOGAF certification required. - BIZBOK or Business Architecture Guild training/certification preferred. - Other reputable architecture or formal methods certifications acceptable. - Proven record of applying architecture in complex, regulated, or large matrix organisations.
