Jefferies & Partners works with a highly curated network of senior independent consultants. We are not a high-volume resourcing model. We keep the network small, senior, and fit-for-purpose. We also do not operate as an interim management provider: our work is advisory-led and focused on defined mandates where senior judgement and architecture rigour materially shift outcomes.

The profile we are actively screening for
We are specifically looking for Senior Business Architects (and closely related profiles such as Enterprise Business Architects, Business Architecture Leads, Capability Leads, Value Stream Leads) who bring:
Deep Business Architecture capability, demonstrated through recognised certifications and applied delivery
Enterprise-level thinking, connecting strategy, operating model, capabilities, value streams, processes, information and change
Executive-grade advisory skills, able to frame trade-offs, shape decisions, and build alignment across senior stakeholders

What you will typically do with clients
Depending on mandate, you may be asked to lead or materially contribute to:
Business architecture set-up or refresh (scope, method, governance, repository approach)
Capability mapping and capability-based planning
Value stream architecture and customer journey alignment
Target Operating Model design and business-led enterprise design
Strategy-to-execution translation (roadmaps, sequencing, investment cases)
Cross-domain alignment between business, data, and technology (without being a “tech architect for hire”)
Decision support for executives and steering committees: options, impacts, dependencies, risks, and recommendation-quality narratives
Must-have experience and credentials
We are looking for independents with 10+ years’ experience, who:
Reside in Benelux, the UK, or Ireland, and can work with clients across these regions
Operate comfortably at strategy and advisory level, not only delivery execution
Can lead senior stakeholders and convert ambiguity into clear, structured decisions
Are able to chair, steer, or materially influence Steering Committees, including decision preparation and option framing
Bring recognised Business Architecture and/or Enterprise Architecture credentials, for example:
TOGAF (certified)
BIZBOK / Business Architecture Guild training or certification (where applicable)
Other reputable architecture certifications and formal methods
Have a proven record applying architecture in complex organisations (regulated and large matrix environments are a plus)
Signals of seniority we value
You can explain architecture in plain language to executives and make it useful
You use architecture to reduce noise, create alignment, and accelerate decisions
You are pragmatic: just enough artefact, maximum clarity and adoption
You hold a high bar on governance, decision rights, and accountable delivery
Languages
Fluent English required. Dutch and/or French is a strong advantage for Benelux work.
