Job Description
Job Title: VP, Security Role Summary: Lead and manage all security operations across multiple parks, providing strategic oversight, operational leadership, and crisis response. Expectations: Deliver a secure environment, maintain high standards of service, ensure compliance with regulations, control costs, and develop and retain top security talent. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee security operations for three parks, supervising ~150 staff. - Direct threat assessments, breach investigations, and emergency/crisis response. - Develop and implement security strategies, policies, and SOPs. - Maintain relationships with local law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and court representatives. - Integrate security technology solutions and manage operating expenses. - Lead recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, and retention of security personnel. - Create and deliver training programs for new hires and ongoing staff development. - Communicate security status to leadership and stakeholders. Required Skills: - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for team building and morale. - Business acumen: budgeting, forecasting, staffing, and decision‑making under pressure. - Experience with threat assessment, crisis management, and security technology. - Excellent written and oral communication for diverse audiences. - Ability to develop and deliver training materials and programs. - Knowledge of workplace violence prevention, travel security, and emergency response. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Criminal Justice, Security Management) or equivalent education and experience. - Minimum 5 years in a security leadership role in high‑exposure, public‑facing environments. - Valid state driver’s license. - Preferred: Background in hospitality security, law enforcement command, or media interaction.
