**Job Title:** Sales & Marketing Lead **Role Summary:** Lead the creation and execution of Parallel Parliament’s commercial strategy from inception. Own the end‑to‑end sales process, design outbound and inbound marketing campaigns, develop messaging and go‑to‑market plans, and build the foundations for a scalable sales and marketing organization. Remote position with occasional travel for industry events. **Expectations:** - Build and launch a repeatable sales pipeline that generates qualified leads and closes deals. - Define and implement a clear go‑to‑market strategy aligned with the political intelligence market. - Establish CRM and sales enablement processes that support future team growth. - Represent the company at conferences and industry events to raise brand awareness. - Deliver revenue targets while operating independently in a fast‑moving startup environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage the full sales cycle from inbound inquiry to contract signing. - Design, test, and execute outbound sales and marketing campaigns. - Craft messaging, positioning, and value propositions for target audiences. - Build and maintain a sales pipeline; configure and manage CRM tools. - Track performance metrics and iterate on tactics to improve conversion rates. - Serve as the public face of the company at relevant conferences and events. - Document and codify sales/marketing processes to enable future team scaling. **Required Skills:** - Proven success in sales, marketing, or commercial roles (startup experience preferred). - Strong prospecting, lead generation, and deal‑closing abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication; relationship‑focused selling style. - Ability to work autonomously in a remote, high‑ambiguity environment. - Strategic thinking with hands‑on execution capability. - Passion for politics, public affairs, lobbying, or political monitoring. - Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and marketing automation tools. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Political Science, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - No specific certifications required; sales or marketing certifications are a plus.
