Job title: Operations & Reliability Engineer Intern Role Summary: Provides hands‑on support for a production automation system aligned with uptime and SLA goals. Works across operations, reliability, automation, and customer‑facing layers to monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance system performance. Expectations: Excellent technical foundation, strong problem‑solving, and clear documentation. Must commit ~20 hrs/week for a 3‑month internship, be U.S. authorized, and adapt to a hybrid work schedule. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor customer uptime, job execution, and overall system health. - Triage incidents, escalating to engineering as needed. - Execute hands‑on operational tasks and follow established runbooks. - Identify recurring failure patterns; recommend reliability improvements. - Assist in incident analysis and post‑mortem documentation. - Contribute to runbook updates and continuous process refinement. Required Skills: - Comfortable debugging technical systems in production. - Detail‑oriented with strong procedural adherence. - Clear written communication for issue reporting and handoffs. - Curiosity and analytical mindset about failure modes and reliability. - Basic proficiency in Linux, shell scripting, or Python. - Exposure to automation, QA, SRE, or DevOps practices is a plus. Required Education & Certifications: - Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - Authorized to work in the United States (OPT eligible).
