Role Summary:
Lead and own the recovery strategy for a portfolio of high‑value restaurant partner accounts. Manage complex negotiations with owners and operators, coordinate with legal and finance to enforce contractual obligations, and deliver financially sound outcomes while preserving long‑term partnership integrity.
Expectations:
- Drive end‑to‑end recovery for complex B2B accounts
- Negotiate settlements, payment plans, and restructures with senior stakeholders
- Collaborate with legal on enforcement, UCC filings, and contractual matters
- Analyze data to forecast risk and inform recovery strategy
- Provide actionable insights to leadership, influence underwriting and onboarding processes
- Travel up to 20% to partner sites or internal meetings
Key Responsibilities:
1. Own a portfolio of complex B2B restaurant partner accounts, leading recovery strategy and execution.
2. Conduct direct negotiations with owners, operators, and hospitality groups on delinquent balances.
3. Structure payment plans, restructures, and settlements balancing risk mitigation and partner viability.
4. Review contracts, payment terms, and performance metrics to identify early warning signals.
5. Coordinate with Legal on enforcement actions (UCC‑1 filings, defaults, remedies).
6. Design, refine, and scale B2B‑appropriate recovery workflows and escalation paths.
7. Leverage CRM and financial systems to monitor account health, track progress, and assess portfolio risk.
8. Deliver clear insights and recommendations on delinquency trends, exposure, and performance to leadership.
9. Serve as subject‑matter expert on B2B recovery for Legal, Finance, and Partner Success teams.
10. Advocate professional tone and engagement standards during recovery interactions.
Required Skills:
- 6–8+ years in B2B collections, account recovery, credit, or receivables management.
- Proven ability to manage complex, negotiated recoveries rather than transactional collections.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills with senior business executives.
- Commercial acumen: reading P&L, cash flow, contractual obligations, and risk.
- Risk assessment and contract review expertise.
- Experience with legal enforcement processes, including UCC filings.
- Proficient in CRM (Salesforce or HubSpot), Excel, and financial reporting tools.
- Data‑driven analytical mindset to forecast risk and inform strategy.
- Ability to travel periodically (up to ~20%).
- Calm under pressure and able to handle adversarial or emotionally charged situations.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred, not mandatory).
- Experience or coursework in hospitality, restaurant finance, fintech, or alternative lending.
- Familiarity with secured lending concepts and UCC filings.
